• Advised ownership groups in the acquisition, sale, relocation and financing of Minor League Baseball franchises (Portland-AAA, Tacoma-AAA, Tucson-AAA, Reno-AAA, Omaha-AAA, Fresno-AAA, Trenton-AA, Binghamton-AA, Richmond-AA, Pensacola-AA, Visalia-A, Bowling Green-A, Carolina-A) and professional soccer clubs (MLS, USL and NWSL).
• Represented Major League Baseball clubs in salary arbitration case preparation and hearings, contract structuring and payroll analysis, including the Oakland Athletics, Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Twins, Miami Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Angels, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, Washington Nationals and San Francisco Giants.
• Served as general counsel to Next League, a leading digital growth and technology solutions company focused on the sports industry, including execution of the acquisition of the professional services and digital product businesses of Infront X, including contracts with the PGA Tour and Breeders Cup.
• Served as general counsel to Underdog Venture Team, a next-generation organization providing an integrated mix of brand-building services to clients such as Athletes Unlimited, Jackie Robinson Foundation, Major League Soccer, and the United States Tennis Association, including the acquisition of UVT by private equity firm NewSpring Holdings, a firm focused on sector-specific platform builds, to establish an innovative marketing services firm that provides strategic creative solutions to the sports, media, entertainment, and non-profit sectors.
• Served as general counsel to LeadDog Marketing, an award-winning integrated experiential marketing agency, handling a host of commercial transactions including sports and entertainment marketing activities, including execution of the sale of LeadDog to CSM, a global leader in sport and entertainment.
• As general counsel to professional sports franchises, structured and negotiated sponsorship agreements, concessions contracts, suite licenses, naming rights agreements, stadium and arena leases, employee contracts and general commercial transactions.
• Represented an entertainment company focused on the financing and production of first class sports programming for distribution across multiple platforms.
• As general counsel to an organic food company specializing in baby and toddler foods, handled financing, structuring, leasing, licensing, employment and general commercial transactions.
